I am excited to endorse the candidacy of Brian Chirichello for Rockingham County Commissioner, District 2. He is exceptionally qualified for this office. County Government is unique to each state, so no one can know the job without some exposure to it. Brian has been a State Representative for ten years. All State Representatives are automatically members of the County Delegation. The Delegation is the body which appropriates the money to run the County. There are levels of participation in this Delegation, and Brian has chosen the highest one. He is a member of the Executive Committee, and Chairs one of its sub-committees. These duties have given him a good understanding of the County functions, the many tasks that it does for our citizens, and how it all works together. During this last budget review, he was instrumental in helping to bring the 2021 budget to an amount less than the 2020 budget, which also lowered the property tax burden for our citizens. His fourteen years on the Derry Town Council also gives him the knowledge of how this largest town in the District is affected by County Government.
